Vintage Hamilton Dodson Circa 1930's 10K GF Manual Wind Wrist Watch

This is a Hamilton "Dodson" circa 1930's dress wrist watch. This Hamilton watch has a manual wind mechanical Grade 987-E 17 jewel American made Hamilton movement. Movement serial number is 4503143, which dates to 1936 according to the Pocket Watch Data Base. Watch case is stamped circa 1938.

Case is 10K gold filled and is 27 mm wide (not including crown), 37.6 mm in length (lug to lug), showing only light signs of use and no wear through to brass. Dial, hands, & glass crystal also in very good condition, please see photos!

Prior to listing, we oiled and adjusted this wrist watch but we did not fully service. On our professional timing machine, watch was timed to within 30 seconds a day on a full wind and has a clean trace on our machine. We recommend servicing every 2 years for best results. 

Note: These early watches are not shock proof or water resistant, care needs to be taken to not drop them and to avoid contact with water.
